20th INSME Annual Meeting: Unlocking Sustainable Finance for SMEs

31 May 2024

INSME is pleased to invite its members and partners to celebrate its 20th Anniversary in Rome at the Annual Meeting of the association, co-organized with CONFAPI, that will be held on October 14-15, 2024, in Rome. The event is titled: Unlocking Sustainable Finance for SMEs.

The 20th INSME Annual Meeting aims to explore the new dynamics of sustainable finance with a focus on ESG integration, studying their present and future impact on SMEs. The meeting will highlight the main obstacles SMEs face in adopting sustainable financial practices and the opportunities that may arise from their implementation.

This event will bring together representatives INSME members and key partners, experts on innovation and SMEs, and high-level speakers, including Deputy Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Valentino Valentini. Quoting the Deputy Minister, reflecting on his recent visit to VivaTech, Valentini stated, “Innovation is the key to any successful economic, industrial, and social development process. (…) But to innovate, genius is not enough; you need energy, skills, and above all, resources. I can guarantee that SMEs, startups, technology transfer, and innovation are at the center of the government’s agenda”. This quote encapsulates the spirit of the 20th INSME Annual Meeting, looking to the future with optimism, an open mind and pragmatism to enable SMEs to reach higher peaks.

Although most SMEs are only at the beginning of their journey to net zero and account for a relatively small share of sustainable finance investments, it is essential for them to equip themselves with the financial tools and resources needed to align with the new demands of investors, regulators, and policymakers.

Stay tuned for registrations and the release of the event’s agenda.
