"Building Value through partnerships"
This pay off, diffused at one of the latest main international biotech events (Bio-Europe Spring 2007, Milan, Italy) can be regarded as a Leit Motiv and a founding pillar of many upcoming Life Sciences matchmaking events accros the world, among which we have selected:
- Life Sciences Partnering China & Europe Programme - "China Partnering Event II", Shanghai (China), 16-17 April 2007
- Bioparks 2007 - "Life Sciences Regional Development and its Impact on Global Discovery, Innovation and Partnerships - How Bioregions Impact Global Discovery and Innovation", Boston (USA), 4-5 May 2007
- ILSI-Biomed Israel 2007 - "6th National Life Science and Technology Week in Israel", Tel Aviv, 5-7 June 2007
Biotechnology is one of most promising innovation related fields where the public-private partnership and the link between research-industry and finance are key factors for success.
In this issue we focus on the EuroTransBio Programme, which aims at coordinating national and regional public funding to support biotech R&D projects at European level (see ETB second call).
Believing that global innovators can get value from knowledge-sharing and risks sharing, we hope that this newsletter will stimulate your willingness to network with INSME members and partners around the world.
Exploit our networking opportunities!

The Forrester Wave: National Innovation Networks |
|
|
|
"A Quantitative Evaluation of 26 Nations in Four Global Innovation Competencies"
Governments put innovation high on their national agendas, but much of the money they invest goes to waste because they confuse innovation with invention.
To overcome this, nations should select their role in the global Innovation Network either as Inventor, or Transformer, or Financier, or Broker nations. Forrester Research evaluation shows for 26 different nations which roles they should focus on and with which other nations they should partner to make their policies a success.
The 26 countries evaluated include: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, and the US.
